They are small on this image scale but the image serves for a finder chart illustration of the location of these galaxies relative to the Handle. This was the superb Kp6 to 7 display on March 23,2023,with the aurora in a pulsating mode rather than forming rippling curtains. Leo is just below the convergence point. The Big Dipper is at top. At this time later in the display the rays showed a lot of red as well as green. A short exposure helped freeze the rapid pulsations and capture the structure.

This is the active Sun on July 9,2023,with numerous sunspot groups across the disk,including the very large region AR3363 at lower left that had just turned into view. At top is the pair of spots comprising AR3361,and at lower right another pair AR3366. Bright faculae are visible on the darker limbs of the Sun as well as the general fine granulation across the surface. North is approximately up here.

The Roman Catholic church was built in 1911 by English, Russian German immigrants. It served a dwindling congregation until 1991 when it closed. At that time workers found a time capsule from 1915 with names of the priest and parisioners of the day. In summer of 2014 the Church suffered its latest indignity when the iron cross on its steeple tower was stolen. It was there when I stopped at this Church on a site scouting trip in M
